Materials

In order to take piano lessons, you must have a piano or keyboard with 88 weighted keys at home. I am happy to consult with you on where to buy or rent one.

Please have your student bring a 3-ring binder to their lesson. This will organize any supplementary songs or activities I might send home. If you have a printer at home, I may send materials via email on lesson day and request that you print them.

You are responsible for the purchasing and cost of any lesson books or materials. Some parents prefer to order books through Amazon or another site. If this is the case, just make sure you check with me first to be sure that you are ordering the right thing.

Make-up lessons and cancellation policy:

All lessons missed due to my absence will be made up. 

I do not offer make-up lessons or refunds for lessons missed by the student.

For in-person students, lessons will be held online if myself or the student is ill (with COVID or otherwise!). At least 1 hour notice via text or email is required. Online lessons for in-person students are NOT available for scheduling conflicts or convenience, the only exception being weather so bad that the roads are impassable.

My withdrawal policy is one month’s notice. For example, if you withdraw on September 21st, 2022, your October cheque will be cashed (or you will be expected to e-transfer the amount for October) and the November-June cheques will be returned. No refunds or withdrawals after April 1st, 2023.
